Who you are?

We are seeking applicants for the position of Junior Project Metallurgist, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers. You will be based at Gauge Circuit, Canning Vale and will be responsible for performing a range of routine test work within set guidelines and priorities.

Some of your tasks will be, but not limited to:

  • Lead the supervision of metallurgical test work programs and not be afraid to get “hands on”

  • Manage to the planning of technical work and quality assurance, with total responsibility for quality and validity of results

  • Perform all duties within relevant occupational health and safety guidelines and policies and following relevant procedures documented in the quality assurance system

  • Demonstrate strong skills in collation and analysis of test work data

  • Produce timely and accurate test work reports

  • Liaise with clients to understand and meet their project needs

What you will bring to the role?

  • A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a minerals testing laboratory or a mining processing operation

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example. Provide leadership in QHSE systems and behaviour

  • Demonstrated technical competency and ability. Be highly motivated, and passionate about metallurgical test work

  • Good planning, prioritising and organisational skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Behavioural judgement, initiative and maturity

Please note that as part of the recruitment experience you must be able to pass a full Medical that includes a drug and alcohol test.
