Southwestern Energy Equipment Operator in Morgantown, West Virginia

Southwestern Energy is hiring Equipment Operators.

As an Equipment Operator you are responsible for operating and maintaining hydraulic fracturing equipment, trouble shooting equipment, rigging up and rigging down pump trucks with iron and hoses.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Carry out duties in accordance with SWS Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, as well as, regulatory requirements.

  • Perform job duties in accordance with SWS Best Practices, Operational Policies & Procedures.

  • Be able to work in a team environment and understand their role as a member of the team.

  • Demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn the job duties of an Equipment Operator.

  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Encompasse the understanding and development of Southwestern Energy corporate goals and fully embodies “The Right People Doing the Right Things” at all times by behaving accordingly.

  • Conduct limited repairs and maintenance on fracturing equipment with supervision.

  • Work diligently toward the achievement of team goals.

  • Proficiently operate acid equipment, sand equipment, blender, and chemical equipment when necessary.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic rig-up operations, including connecting hoses and iron

  • Possesse the knowledge and ability to perform Equipment Operator I tasks when required.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by the SWS leadership team.

    Your Background Includes:

  • Two (2) or more years Fracturing/Stimulation experience with a service company or oilfield operating company.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Some mechanical ability preferred.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to input and read data

  • Working independently under little supervision

  • Capable of working out-of-doors, where exposure to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold, fumes, and gases are frequent. Exposure to noise, vibration, high pressure, moving/mechanical parts, electrical shock, chemical and caustic materials is common in the normal performance of the duties associated with this position.

  • The work of this positions involves the frequent movement of up to 100 lbs. to lift, push, pull or carry equipment.

  • Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations

  • Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends)

  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day when needed

  • Will be required to pass all pre-employment requirements including a physical demands, vision and drug-screening test along with a thorough background and driving record check
