Smithbucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Committee and Project Coordinator to join our Association Management Unit in Chicago. The Association Management unit offers unmatched association expertise and specific knowledge of the issues, challenges and actions distinctive to the changing healthcare environment. What You Will Do

  • Provide skilled administrative and project support to the client, staff, and specialist teams with project management, tracking, and follow-up.

  • Serve as the staff liaison and support multiple committees within the organization, including facilitating regular committee meetings, setting agendas, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Collaborate with committee members to define objectives, timelines, and action plans.

  • Engage with association subject matter experts to develop new educational projects, revise existing products, and manage the lifecycle of projects from initiation to completion.

  • Participate in annual budgeting process specific and monthly financial review with ability to support volunteer Treasurer and Executive Director administratively as needed.

  • Collaborate with various Smithbucklin service units including marketing, accounting, IT, and events to provide the best client service possible.

  • You have the ability to travel - you will attend one annual meeting per year.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of three to five years of related professional experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical nonprofit experience is a plus.

  • Experience in project management and committee coordination is a plus.

  • Knowledge of learning management systems is a plus.

  • Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
